I've been trying to start my journey to becoming a CSO artist for a while now, this is demystifying a lot of seemingly advanced techniques. I've already had all the fundamentals from Warhammer, figure painting and armor modeling, but seeing the whole step-by-step process has really helped me figure out which techniques to use where. All that's left is copious practice.

Is the Mr. Weathering Color solvent odorless? Is that a white spirit or enamel thinner?

So far I've painted around just 40 of my 247 BattleTech minis and I'm telling you, while you've done OUTSTANDING job, there's no way I'd have time left for actually playing the game had I painted the minis so meticulously. Still, I find it quite inspiring nad may one day add a few more details here nad there. Thanks for sharing!

I couldn't find Micro Set/Sol at Hobby Lobby and didn't want to wait for order/delivery. I was damaging several decals trying to reposition them after clinging on crooked. I decided to try Vallejo Glaze Medium and am very happy with my results.

It took me a hot minute to figure out to use speedpaint medium to thin speedpaint in an airbrush instead of water lol

You had me instantly when I saw a strange undercoat. That's a great idea and absolutely love learning new ways to use existing tools.

I was relieved when I saw the checkers were decals, I was dreading you showing how to do that by hand! Awesome overall, though, I'm glad someone else uses Micro Set/Sol to get the decals to fit into those recesses

I wish they add a Vindicator card from Beginner box and split Battlemaster and Awesome. Maybe some day.

I initially picked House Kurita because I'm a weeb and heard their culture were based on Feudal Japan, and I like red. But then I learned about their lore and all the horrible, terrible things they did, and how in reality they're more like Imperialist Japan pretending to be Feudal Japan. I was glad to see that my initial choice was the correct one. *GLORIOUS MANIFEST DESTINY FOR SPACE NIPPON!*

Make sure you dress appropriately and hydrate. Novas are known to run extremely hot. 65 heat and 36 sink in prime, 75 heat and 40 sink in H... OV 4 for you Alpha Strike types... Don't be an egg on CERML spam!

I'm incredibly on the fence about picking up these 40th box sets. I have multiples of the regular sets so certainly don't need them, but they just look so good.

Hopefully Fortress Games and Miniatures will have the inserts available for purchase :)
